The Next Chapter Of My Photography

Hello everybody! If you’ve followed my work for a while now you’ve likely noticed that I haven’t been around much lately. I previously wrote about this at the end of 2021, but I still haven’t produced much work since then. I wanted to take a moment to explain where I’ve been and what the future will hold.

Where have I been all of this time?

Let’s first address the elephant in the room: where on Earth has Adam been and why hasn’t he been releasing any new work?

The answer is quite simple. At the end of 2021, I accepted a new job and moved to the Mid-Atlantic region of the United States: Maryland, to be exact. While many great things happened as a result of this decision, it was a disaster for my photography.

You see, I simply don’t find the Mid-Atlantic region to be an inspiring place. That’s not to say that there isn’t plenty of beauty to be found in that part of the country, or that you couldn’t produce a prolific body of work there (many have). It’s just not an area that speaks to me. As a result, I didn’t produce a whole lot of work during my time there.

What’s next?

All of this begs the question: What’s in store for the future?

As you may have guessed by now, I recently decided that it was time to make some life changes.

As great as some of the other aspects of my life were in Maryland, not having good places to hike, backpack, and pursue my landscape photography was having a negative impact on my mental health. It was definitely time for a change, so I began looking for a new job in a new part of the country.

As such, I am very excited to announce that I have officially moved to Colorado! I have long dreamed of living among the grand landscapes that the Western United States has to offer, and it’s finally happening. I cannot overstate how excited I am for the future adventures that will be had here!

It will still take me some amount of time to start really getting into the groove with my photography again. For one, I’m still waiting for my stuff to finish its journey across the country. Beyond that, I’m sure it will take me some time to get settled into my new home, not to mention to get back into shape after my long hiatus!

It might take a bit of time, but there will be some good things to come!
