Driving through rural northeast Oklahoma, you would never know that it’s the site of a town that has suffered tragedy after tragedy. This is the sad tale of Picher, Oklahoma, and a look at what remains today.

I was fortunate enough to be able to plan a trip to witness and photograph the 2024 total solar eclipse over the United States. In this post I will share with you how I planned the trip, how I shot the eclipse, and some of the photos I walked away with.
